Some of our colleagues were in the Washington DC area as nightly entertainment were starting to open up. As the west coast including Los Angeles and the rest of California awaits to reopen entertainment venues, we were fortunate check out one of DC’s premier venues for EDM music. And as an added bonus – Zedd was the main artist.
In arriving to Echostage, the parking is very reminiscent of late 2000’s of parking during Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) when it formally played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum & Exposition Park. Traffic jams – of course. Long lines outside the venue – yes.
Inside the venue – the upstairs floor was dedicated to VIP tables with best views of the stage. On the main floor – the layout allowing for room up to 3,000 people with restrooms on the sides of the venue. The overall feel has a similar taste to Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in terms of its main floor.
Once Zedd came onstage just past 12:30AM, the vibe in the crowds felt like “life is back to normal.” Once began with tunes including “Spectrum,” “Good Thing,” and “Break Free.” Then became “I Want You To Know,” “Clarity” and “Stay” as the beat went fast and the crowds were enjoying it more. And when you can hear the tune of “Stay The Night” – the crowds wanted to stay longer but it was nearing 4AM.
Another time sounds great Anton.
